SAN JOSE — A man died late Saturday following a reported fight or attack in a residential neighborhood in South San Jose, according to police.
Officers were called at 11:37 p.m. for reports of a disturbance on San Simeon Way, a one-block residential street near Senter Road and Seven Trees Boulevard. They arrived to find a man “suffering injuries from a physical altercation,” police said.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately released pending notification of his next of kin.
Police said no suspects had been arrested or identified as of Sunday morning. Additional details were not immediately available.
The death marked the city’s third homicide of the year. San Jose had also recorded three homicides by the same point in 2017.
